Delhi Public School Vijayawada is a CBSE-affiliated day-cum-residential senior secondary school at Nidamanuru, on the NH-5 corridor in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. Established in 2007, the school is a joint venture of PHR Educational Society and the Delhi Public School Society, New Delhi. Unlike many city-only campuses, DPS Vijayawada combines regular day schooling with separate residential facilities for boys and girls, giving families both options within the same campus. The school is currently affiliated with CBSE up to the senior secondary level, and admissions for the 2026-27 session have been announced for LKG to Class IX, with Class XI offering science, commerce, humanities and selected skill-oriented subject choices.

Admission Process at DPS Vijayawada
The school website currently states that admissions for the 2026-27 academic session opened from 20 February 2026 for classes LKG to IX. Admission counselling can be obtained from the school, while the application form and screening details are issued through the school office.
For younger children, admission involves an observation-cum-interaction designed to assess basic readiness and motor skills. From Class I onward, the school conducts a screening assessment. Parents may be asked to remain present on the assessment day. Documents generally include the completed application form, recent photographs and a birth certificate. For Class II and above, the previous report card and original School Leaving or Transfer Certificate are required at the time of admission.
The school has not clearly published a separate 2026-27 registration charge in its current readable official admission information. Parents should confirm the exact registration and admission amount directly with the school office before making any payment.
Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility depends on the class applied for, age, previous academic record, screening performance and available seats. The admission page currently visible on the school website contains an older age table, so parents should not use those historical cut-offs as the final 2026-27 age criteria. The current date-of-birth requirement should be confirmed with the admission office before submitting the form.
For Class I to XI, the school uses a screening assessment as part of the selection process. Class XI students can choose from combinations including MPC, M-BiPC, BiPC, IEC/MEC Commerce and Humanities, along with selected skill-oriented subjects. Subject availability and stream eligibility should be checked at the time of admission.
